The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, yesterday, received the Distinguished Alumnus Award of the Igbinedion University Okada (IUO), Edo State.

The Award was part of the activities marking the 18th Founder's Day Ceremony of  IUO, Edo State.

The Gombe State Governor,  Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo was also among the awardees who received the Distinguished Alumnus Award of the institution.

The Pro Vice Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council IUO Emeritus Professor Oluwole Akande described Ajayi  and other Awardees as great ambassadors of IUO and personnel who have made the school really proud.

While receiving the Award, Ajayi expressed his profound gratitude to the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu who he regarded as his father, and however re-pledge his allegiance to him.

The well attended event had in attendance, The president of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari represented by the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Osagwe Ohanahera, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki  represented by his deputy, Philip Shaibu,  among others.
