owned by a former governor of Abia
state, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu.
Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, who hails from
Igbere,, Bende local government area
in Abia state, was the executive
governor of the state from May 29,
1999, to May 29, 2007.
The former governor who ran for
presidency in 2007, is also a
businessman who happens to be the
chairman of several businesses
including SLOK Holdings, Daily Sun
newspapers, First International Bank
Limited and New Telegraph
newspapers.
Orji Uzor as he is popularly called, is
said to own a sprawling 400-room
mansion/estate in his village in Igbere,
which he named 'Camp Neya', after
his daughter.
The mansion/estate was built in 1998,
but was commissioned in 1999, by Col.
Anthony Obi, a former military
administrator.
The 400 rooms have been turned into
the following:
Over 36 jumbo sized sitting rooms, 12
room presidential lodge, governor's
lodge for all the 36 states and FCT, a
5000 capacity conference hall, a
banquet hall, a Karaoke hall, 22
Kitchens, 102 toilets, 76 Bathrooms
and 187 bedrooms.
There is also a golf course, a football
pitch, an olympic sized swimming
pool, one indoor swimming pool,
basketball court, lawn tennis court, a
sports centre, a church, a mosque and
a bush bar.

recreation centre, an ICT centre,
several gardens, a police post and a
