NPFL: ODSFA unveil Eguavoen, Shorounmu for Sunshine Stars




The management of Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) has unveiled Austin Eguavoen and Ike Shorounmu as the Technical Adviser and Goalkeeper Trainer respectively.

Gbenga Elegbeye, Chairman of the Committee to reposition ODSFA on Tuesday in Akure at the event said the Sunshine Stars should not be battling with relegation.

Elegbeye said the team should be amongst the first three teams at the current stage of the season.

The chairman noted that the technical crew would be given free hands to operate and select players.

"We have new 15 players that we just added to the team, we don't have to be sentimental, I will do this job for one month, we must do the right thing.

"The coaches have free hand. The players can come from Ghana, Burkinafaso and so on as long as they are good enough to achieve our aims and objective.

"This is Ondo State's club and it must be be good. Be patient and wait, we will give you a team that will play good football and perform," he said.

TummyP Blog reports that others unveiled includes; Gabriel Aborowa and Akin Olowookere as the Team Manager and Assistant coach respectively.

Responding, Eguavoen said many coaches would run away from the challenges of lifting the team out of relegation battle, but he was ready to accept the job.

He noted that the management should make the players happy so as to be more productive on the pitch of play.
