Solomon Dalung, minister of youth and
sports, has confirmed that his late wife
will be buried on February 4 at
Sabongida, Langtang South local
government area of Plateau state.
The Sports minister confirmed this in
a statement signed in Abuja on
Wednesday, February 1 by Tolu
Makinde, the director of information
in the ministry.
In the statement, Dalung expressed
gratitude to Nigerians for the
outpouring of love, sympathy and
condolences over the tragic demise of
his wife, NAN reports.
The minister also thanked President
Muhammadu Buhari who personally
called him last night to condole with
him and his family at this period of
grief.
Briskila Dalung passed on in Jos on
January 29 after a protracted illness.
The minister announced the demise of
his wife via his official Facebook
saying it is a huge loss that he could
barely continue.
