After “TRAPPED”, DEEJAY SA’ID Comes Again With “MAMA”

Kogi State is making history among the county states, with highly intelligent, industrious and outstanding personnel like Deejay Sa’id, the director of Deejay Ville Entertainment with his great innovations.

Deejay Ville Entertainment in collaboration with the ministry of culture and tourism  organized a film making seminal- the master class and industry section which was indeed some breath of fresh air.

Participants acknowledged that a lot was learnt and saw the need of such creative innovations to be repeated frequently.

The masterclass saw a lot of participants from around the state in as much as it’s for Kogi based film makers with participants from Abuja and other part of the states to listen and learn from the Kogi State Internationally acknowledged award winning film maker.

Many described the class as being engaging, informative and educative; just what is rightly needed in the state at the moment to help aspiring film makers who make world class films.

The industry session hosted Kogi state based film makers and the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in an interactive session where the film making industry is discussed and observations were raised.

However, the commissioner addressed most of the issues and promised to relate to the Governor what was discussed and assured them of creating an enabling environment for film making in the state.

The 4th of February, 2017 saw the production of a short film “mama” written, produced and directed by Deejay Sa’id with participants of the masterclass  to see practically how film is made and they were able to ask questions and learn the making of film.

Some participants described Deejaey Sa’id as an idol for the innovative idea and also placing Kogi State on the global community in film making .

Others  said he is the hope of Kogi State to the world, regarding the art of film making.

“Kudos to Deejay Sa’id , the organizer of this great event, we hope to see many more of such innovation from him in the nearest future. He will surely move Kogi State to the next level in film making” commented one of the participants.

The Making of "MAMA"
The film “mama” is a story about a clear case of misplacing priorities; a young man  caught up between his sick mother and a lover with its setting in an African slum (ghetto). This will surely be a handful as Deejay Sa’id brings his creative feel to ghetto life.
