admission forms for Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME)
and Direct Entry (DE).
This agreement was reached at the

Abuja on Tuesday, January 24, after a
meeting with National Examination
Council (NECO), West African
Examination Council (WAEC) and

the timetable.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the head of
media and information, in a statement
said that the harmonized examination
timetable, will solve problems arising
from overlapping of examination
dates, which has disenfranchised a lot
of candidates.
“The bodies agreed that for the purpose of
the 2017 UTME, JAMB will shift its
examinations to allow students face WAEC,
NECO and NABTEB,” he said.
In another development, Prof Ishaq
Oloyede, the registrar and chief
executive of JAMB, has said that
candidates, who wish to sit for the
2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination, will take the
examination under the surveillance of
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
cameras. The registrar while speaking during a
briefing in Abuja said the measure
was necessary and that it is aimed at
preventing examination malpractice
during the UTME.
